Vector Technologies produces a range of plastic products and assemblies for industries such as Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), medical devices, automotive and proprietary product range. The visit will take a look at how robotics and automation have been used for production processes including;
-Medical Sleep Apnea masks, robot loading of components into injection molding machines to produce an over-molded assemblies (plastic components/textile patches/magnets).
-Toyota snorkel, a robot with a circular saw used to cut the blow-molded parts.
-Springwater bottles, a robot used for trimming operation.
-2L Milk bottles, general automation including labeling and packing into sealed bags.
